Ministry Conference 2025 - 13th May 2025 to 14th May 2025

If you are busy planning your calendars for 2025, you might want to know that the Ministry Conference team have invited Chris Marshall as the keynote speaker for Ministry Conference 2025, to be held at East Taieri Church 13-14th May 2025.  Chris was NT lecturer at Laidlaw College before teaching in the Religious Studies Dept at Victoria University. He is now retired. We have spoken to him and found him to have a gentle spirit, a love for the church and the gospel and a good thinker who can relate to ordinary people.

The title will be: Against All Odds – lessons from the past, hope for the future

This is a difficult time for the church but God has not changed. The church has faced tough times before and God has done remarkable things. The first three centuries of the church were not easy but it grew phenomenally, from a tiny minority in a backwater of the Empire to ‘conquering” that Empire. What does it mean to remain faithful, when things are tough, knowing that the Almighty God will have the last word?

Chris will focus on the life of the early church, identifying what it meant for those Christians to be faithful in difficult circumstances and what were the keys to the church’s growth, applying those to our modern context.”

After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback about the workshop session this year, we are brainstorming ways to include two workshop options in 2025.

We look forward to seeing many of you at conference next year!
